Clean. Doing your part for a healthy planet!

Here are some simple solutions to help you to achieve a positive impact on the environment.

Protect Water

500,000 tons of pollutants enter waterways each day.

Only use cleaning products that are free from chlorine bleach, phosphates, and other harsh chemicals.
You can switch brands to Melaleucas that are chemical free–Such as Tub and Tile and Diamond Brite to keep our water ways clean.

Conserve Energy

Did you know that energy consumption is on the rise?  The average home today uses 40% more
electricity that it did in 1950.

The problem is that most energy is created at a cost to the overall environment.  Your home is where you have toe most control over how much energy you use.  You can do your part by using cold water to wash your clothes when ever possible and you can save as much as 10 dollars a month on your electric bill.

MelaPower a laundry detergent you can buy through Melaleuca is 6x formulate specifically to get your laundry clean in cold water.

Improve air quality

Air pollutions can cause a variety environmental effects such as acid rain, haze, ozone depletion, forest damage, and climate change.  This is bad for the earth’s health and your heath.

What can you do to help?  Do your weekly errands in a single trip.  Walk, bike, or carpool whenever possible.  And with concentrated products from Melaleuca we dont ship unnecessary water-reducing diesel fuel and C0 2 emissions.

Reduce Waste

Every year, people in the U.S. generate approximately 230 million tons of trash-about 4.6 pounds per person, per day.  Less than one-quater of it is recycled; the rest is incinerated or buried in landfills.

What can you do to reduce waste?  Buying concentrated products like EcoSense cleaning, laundry and dish products helps reduce packaging that’s thrown away and cuts down on the need to manufacture new plastic packaging.

Where can you buy these Products?  Melaleuca

Contact me today and I can show you how you can do your part for a healthy planet and life and save time and money.  I can show you how to make money as well.

Living Serenity’s life with Autism

What is it like to live Serenity’s life?  Serenity is my 3 year old who is Autistic.

Serenity wakes in a good mood mostly.  She is smiling and happy.  But as soon as her feet hit the floor

the stimming starts.  Stimming is short for self-stimulatory behavior, sometimes also called “stereotypic” behavior. In a person with autism, stimming usually refers to specific behaviors such as flapping, rocking, spinning, or repetition of words or phrases
Stimming is almost always a symptom of autism, but it’s important to note that stimming is also a part of most people’s behavior patterns. If you’ve ever tapped your pencil, bitten your nails, twirled your hair, or paced, you’ve engaged in stimming.
The biggest differences between autistic and typical stimming are the choice of stim and the quantity of stim. While it’s at least moderately acceptable to bite one’s nails, for example, it’s considered unacceptable to wander around flapping one’s hands. There’s really no good reason why flapping should be less acceptable than nail biting (it’s certainly more hygienic!). But in our world, the hand flappers receive negative attention while the nail biters are tolerated.
To get Serenity to sit at meal time is a battle.  She only likes to eat certain foods and textures.  Children with autism are five times more likely than other kids to have feeding issues, such as being especially picky eaters or having ritualistic behaviors or extreme tantrums during meals.
Bedtime is a struggle for Serenity and the entire household.  Serenity has a hard time bedding down for the night.  She has problems falling asleep and  wakes up in the middle of the night.  When she wakes up  it is near impossible to get her to fall back to sleep.  On several occasions she has woken up at 1 am and stayed up until 8 am.
For children with autism, there appear to be more challenges. There are studies that suggest children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) are more likely to have circadian rhythm (natural wake/sleep cycles) disturbances and may have abnormal melatonin regulation. Melatonin is a hormone that regulates the wake/sleep cycle. In addition, children with autism may be more anxious about the bedtime routine and may have difficulty with the social cues that signal bedtime. They are also more sensitive to sensory experiences such as light, touch or sound.

It is not easy being a parent of a special needs child, but I would not change it for anything in this world. My daughter has taught me so much about life, patience, humility and yes peace.  She is truly a blessing and I am thankful to be her mother.
There are many organic and natural remedies you can use for Autism.  One product I recommend is
Melalecua’s Omega 3’s in a liquid form and available in 2 flavors.  Children love the taste.
I encourage your comments and questions.
